Pensions & Investments partnered with Workforce Research Group, an independent research firm, to conduct a two-part survey process of nominated employers and their employees, which took place in July and August 2025. To participate, a firm must have at least 20 employees in the U.S., at least $100 million of discretionary assets under management or advisement and be in business for at least one year.
The first part, worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation, consisted of evaluating each nominated firm’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part, worth the remaining 80% of the total evaluation, consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top firms.
